POSITION: Software QA Engineer DURATION: Contract
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The QA Engineer will have experience in defining and implementing different QA approaches to support various project needs, test planning and test execution within large scale, high volume distributed systems development projects consisting of custom-built applications and COTS products. Must have in-depth QA experience in a parallel, multi-site software development and concurrent releases environment. Will coordinate testing efforts spanning several projects, client QA teams, development teams, and program management teams. Create test strategy and manage the creation of test plan. Develop and executes test cases. Report defects and verify fixes. Must be able to travel 25% - 50%.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • At least 8 years of software quality assurance experience.
  • Quality assurance planning and execution for technical projects.
  • In-depth QA experience in a parallel, multi-site software development and concurrent releases environment
  • Hands-on experience in white-box and black-box test planning and execution.
  • Solid professional experience, training and certification in SQA best practices, tools and processes.
  • HP/Mercury test products experience including Quality Center, WinRunner, QTP.
  • Design and implement custom test automation.
  • Performance and load testing experience.
  • Continuous Integration and Test Automation.
  • Reusable test case development experience.
  • Test case change management experience.
  • Strong analysis skills.
  • Strong customer facing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel 25% - 50% is required.
